The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is the leading organization working with migrants, governments, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners in providing humane responses to migration challenges. IOM is dedicated to promoting safe, orderly, and dignified migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.
IOM, Mission to Moldova, has the skills, experience, resources, and migration management know-how necessary to provide tailored solutions to governments and migrants, including but not limited to:

  1. Country of origin information;
  2. General facilitation and liaison;
  3. Logistical assistance;
  4. Visa application centre operations;
  5. Interview facilitation;
  6. Health assessments;
  7. DNA services;
  8. Biometrics collection;
  9. Document verification;
  10. Travel assistance;
  11. Cultural and pre-departure orientation.

IOM offers a package of services which can be selected as a whole or as stand-alone services. These can be provided on a government funded project basis or funded by visa applicants and visa recipients on a service-for-fee basis. Service partnership agreements may be negotiated bi-laterally between IOM and diplomatic missions or at the regional or global level. IOM cooperates closely with governments to ensure that service objectives are met on time and within the budget, with a focus on quality, integrity, confidentiality, and availability.

IOM’s solutions are driven by service excellence, aiming to ensure that beneficiaries are at all times, treated with dignity and respect, and are empowered with information in their own language to understand the processes and procedures, as well as their rights and responsibilities.

Presently, IOM, Mission to Moldova, implements the following projects within the domain of facilitated migration services: Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC), Travel Assistance (TA), Health Assessments (HA).
