Networking event for returned migrants that wish to start a business

On 28 September 2017, International Organization for Migration (IOM), Mission in Moldova organized in partnership with Junior Chamber International (JCI) – the worldwide federation of young leaders and entrepreneurs – a networking event for returned migrants and entrepreneurs from Moldova.
The event was organized in order to facilitate an exchange of experiences and ideas between the returned migrants who wish to start or develop an existing business and entrepreneurs and/or service providers.
IOM, through its multiple programs aimed to facilitate the return and reintegration of migrants, assisted approximately 560 Moldovan migrants. IOM at the global level in its Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration program has facilitated the return and reintegration of some 27,000 migrants. Read more about the program here.
The event took place at the National Employment Agency (ANOFM). Representatives of Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development, Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection, National Employment Agency, Diaspora Relations Bureau, Returned Graduates Forum, “Women’s initiatives” NGO form the left bank of Nistru River, European Agency for Economic Research, Reconstruction and Development (ERRD), accounting anf financial consultancy providers “Ramura 5” as well as representatives of regional Association of Creative Laboratories, “Meteora Tur” tourism agency, “Eco Răzeni” NGO came with useful information for future entrepreneurs.
Earlier that day, the guests from the left bank of the Nistru River, visited “Tekwille” – informational communication technologies excellence centre.
The event was organized thanks to the “Supporting the implementation of the migration and development component of the EU-Moldova Mobility Partnership and harnessing its benefits for the residents of the Transnistria Region of the Republic of Moldova” project, which is implemented by IOM Moldova and funded by the European Union.
