Oncological Institute receives medical devices and medicines from IOM
Chisinau- Oncological Institute receives medical devices and medicines from IOM
Today, the Moldovan Oncology Institute received a third lot of specialized medicines, medical equipment and medical consumables for oncological treatments.
The donation, worth 150,000 USD, was provided by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission in the Republic of Moldova with the generous financial support from the Government of the United States of America .
The handover ceremony was attended by Ruslan BALTAGA, Director of the Oncology Institute, Ion Prisacaru, State Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Laura Hruby, Deputy Chief of Mission, USA Embassy in Moldova, and Lars Johan Lönnback, IOM Moldova Chief of Mission.
The event was also an opportunity to visit the Oncology Institute’s facilities and to learn from the medical team the functioning of the donated equipment.
Within this action, IOM/USA continues to support the Ministry of Health and the Oncology Institute, particularly through the direct coverage of costs for exceptional medical expenses, and ensures oncological diagnosis and treatment for Ukrainian refugees, third country nationals and Moldovan citizens.
