Ukrainian refugees over 55 can access for free to emergency pre-hospital and urgent hospital thanks to the IOM and National Medical Insurance Company partnership

Chisinau- 16 June.

The financial coverage is provided in a new partnership agreement signed by the National Health Insurance Company (CNAM) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission to Moldova.

Starting from 16 June, IOM will cover the costs for the pre-hospital emergency health services and urgent hospital care for women and men over 55 fleeing Ukraine within three projects funded by the European Commission - Service for Foreign Policy Instruments, and French and German Governments.

The total estimated budget for providing emergency medical care and dialysis services, which are ongoing for Ukrainian refugees with the support of IOM, is $500,000 and will be performed by the end of February 2024 with a possible extension.
